Astrophytum myriostigma have little or no spikes.
The v quadricostatum simply refers to how many ribs the plant has, in this case quad = 4, so 4 sided astrophytum.
They like very free draining potting medium and bright position with good air flow.
Flowers are yellow and are produced through spring and summer.
Plant will be of similar size to the ones pictured above, in the pots 70mm across.
