GASTERIA - SUCCULENT PLANT CARE GUIDE:

Upon arrival of your new addition, we recommend that your promptly remove it from the box and unwrap carefully.

Place into a pot that is not much wider than the plant itself. Try to keep the level of the plant the same, usually you can see a colour variation that shows the previous soil level.

Once potted up, keep in a protected position to reduce shock.
If moving from a shady area to a sunnier position, ensure you acclimate it gradually to avoid sunburn.

Withhold watering for at least a week to get them settled into their new home, then follow the guidelines below:

Gasteria are cool season growers that thrive in autumn, winter and spring.

They often stop growing when temperatures are high.

Water Winter: During the cooler months - Water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry out completely before watering again.

Water Summer : During the hottest months, keep very dry. Gasteria are susceptible to root rot if overwatered in summer. Water lightly, then allow soil to dry compeletely before watering again.

Soil: Free draining cactus or succulent mix is recommended.

Position: Bright indirect light or partial shade. Indoors, patios, or a protected position in the garden.

Pots: Squat pots are recommended. Use containers with drainage holes, to prevent root rot.
