Synonym: Submatucana madisoniorum
 
Matucana madisoniorum often gets confused with the peyote cactus (lophophora), due to the similar appearance.
 
This is a smallish globose cactus that often stays solitary.
 
Flower colour may be orange, red or white.
 
 
Plant will be of similar size to the ones pictured above, in the pots 70mm across.
