Parodia lenninghausii is a great plant for beginners.
It produces large yellow flowers from the centre of the plant at an early age.
It can tolerate light frosts and likes a fairly hot position, but not full sun during the hottest months of the year.
Plant will be of similar size to the ones pictured above, in the pots 70mm across.
